I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I probably wouldn’t be here today or where I even am in life if the thing in my life didn’t happen.
My girls, my husband, my friends, my life wouldn’t be nearly as full if I didn’t go through the hardships of life, if I just shut out all of the bad, or if I didn’t change with the different seasons of life.
Life Is Not Easy
I’m not the first one to say that this thing we call life is full of shit sometimes. There is always something we don’t like, it just how we decide to deal with it.
There have been plenty of times where I just felt defeated and gave up. There are also plenty of things I could have just said no to, and that would have left me with nothing.
Where It All Started
I’m going to skip all the messy childhood life and just start when I meet my husband.
As some as you may know, he’s a Marine. What y’all don’t know about me is that I grew up near the base. So I wanted nothing to do with a Marine.
It all started as kind of nothing. It actually started about 7 years ago this time of year! Aweeeeee.
We just talked and barely at that. He was always too busy. Then a couple of months down the road, he invited me out, I went. It was November 11th, 1211 (11.11.11). I was feeling some kind of magic!
Then of course, at 11:11 I made a wish for my life to just come together.
Did anyone else do that silly stuff!?
No, just me? Okay! Hahah
After The Wish
So after the wish, maybe an hour later, my now husband started talking to me. Like really talking to me, and who know what we talked about. For some reason I forgot the fact that he was a Marine and just really enjoyed the conversation!
So from there on out, everything just fell into place. Here we are 7 years later, almost 6 years married. We have 2 little girls, and 3 animals and a whole lot of love.
Let’s Be Real For A Sec
While I love that story and it’s really positive, not everything is that happy.
Let me share a more recent story that’s not that happy, but really makes believe everything just happens the way it should.
Just last week, my youngest girl dislocated her elbow. It was my fault, I was trying to pull her up on the bed as she was throwing a fit. A fit of a 3 year old by the way, where there is absolutely no reason for.
So she has a nurse maid elbow, and I only knew because she had this before. They hold their arm down at an angle, like it just rest in their lap. I was upset, she was hurt and screaming. The only way to do something to help it is to pop it back in place. While I like to do a lot on my own, I wasn’t about to do this. I needed to get her to th doctors or the ER.
Here is where the luck comes in. I had an appointment for our amazing doctor that day! And the appointment was only an hour way. It would take me 30 minutes to get there. The timing couldn’t be more perfect.
We got there, the doctor worked her magic and we were back to laughing and having fun while we waited for our appointment.
My daughter didn’t need to hurt her arm, but it couldn’t have happened at a better time. I love our doctor, she’s so kind and she really cares. It’s the first time I found a pediatrician that I love. It was a crazy but successful day.
Do you have any crazy things that happen at just the right time? Do you believe everything happens for a reason?
